Logline
After a deadly encounter with a pickup truck, a family road trip continues along an increasingly impossible highway, forcing a husband and wife to confront the truth about what happened—and where they really are.
Synopsis
Noah and Claire set out on an ordinary family road trip with their two children. A national park lies ahead, and for the first part of the journey, everything seems normal.
Then the road begins to change.
Traffic disappears. Towns become strangely empty. Gas becomes difficult to find. Time no longer behaves as it should. And a pickup truck keeps appearing ahead of them—always in the same lane, always just out of reach.
As the journey grows increasingly impossible, Noah becomes convinced that something is wrong with the road. But the truth is far more unsettling.
Their encounter with the pickup truck was not simply something that happened along the way. It was a deadly accident—and the journey they believe they are still taking is something else entirely.
Caught somewhere between what happened and what they are willing to accept, Noah and Claire must continue down a road that may have no destination at all.
The Drive is a psychological thriller about memory, denial, loss, and the terrifying moment when the truth finally catches up with you.
A feature film project based on the novel by Raymond A. Phillips.
